The Project SEARCH High School Transition Program is a unique 9 month school-to-work program that takes place entirely at the workplace. Student interns participate in employment-related instruction and are assigned internships in up to three departments within Mayo Clinic Health System.
The program provides real-life work experience combined with training in employability and independent living skills to help young adults with intellectual disabilities make successful transitions from school to productive adult life.
The goal of Project SEARCH is competitive, integrated employment for each student intern.
Project SEARCH is a partnership between Mayo Clinic Health System, Eau Claire Area School District, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, L.E. Phillips Career Development Center, ContinuUs – Managed Care Organization, The Management Group – IRIS, and DHS – Wisconsin Dept. of Health Services.
