Clinical Neurophysiology Technology

Interested in brain activity? Professionals in the field of neurodiagnostic technology perform tests that assist physicians in the diagnosis and evaluation of diseases of the brain, peripheral and autonomic nervous systems, and disorders of sleep using sophisticated electronic testing equipment. Neurodiagnostic technologists interact with patients who range in age from newborns to elderly people.

The Clinical Neurophysiology Technology 24 month program requires only 1 year of classes and the final year is hands-on care learning! Training prepares neurodiagnostic/polysomnographic technologists to perform the following procedures:

  • Electroencephalograms
  • Nerve conduction studies
  • Evoked potentials
  • Autonomic Testing
  • Polysomnograms

Median starting salary is $45,000 annually and Senior technologists earn upwards of $60,000. Salary is dependent upon location and employer.
