High School Educational Visit

The Career Awareness High School Educational Visit program provides an experience that matches student interests and offers participants the opportunity to:

  • ask questions of employees
  • observe equipment/tools used in the profession
  • observe the work environment of the profession

There is a formal Educator Guidebook for use by educators looking to request a visit. All requests must go through the formal application/assessment process. Please e-mail to request a guidebook if needed.

Program Facts

What: High school student visit to the Mayo Clinic campus based on student career interest and student desire to participate in the experience

Who: 10th-12th grade students. Preferred classes: health occupation and medical career classes

Why: Educate students about Mayo Clinic and promote career options within the health care industry

When: Available through the school year. Limited only by available Mayo Clinic department resources. Scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. 6 weeks minimum notice required.
