Clinical Lab/Medical Technician

 Daily Tasks
Analyzes biological specimens collected from patients. Responsible for accurate reporting of test results, instrument maintenance, documentation of problems, and practice of safe laboratory techniques.
Multitasking skills, ability to work under pressure, human relations skills, ability to adjust to change, good communication skills, analytical skills, problem-solving skills.
 Work Setting
Laboratories in the hospitals and clinic.
 Work Hours
Monday-Sunday with varied hours.
Associate of arts or associate of science degree in the sciences or in medical laboratory technology.
Laboratory, microscope and computer experience helpful. Experience with instrument operation and quality control data also beneficial. Enrollment for certification exam or a copy of medical laboratory technician certification is desired.
